A fake grass carpet lies over your
resting place Here under this carpet we find letters to
you from friends and always something from your cousin
Beck. You are missed so much. I know you were there to
help your cousin Kenny when he arrived in heaven. He was
only 18 too. I think of your granny Ruth and realize she
lost not only you, but a grandson too. Last week
she lost a son and your dad is grieving again, the loss
of a brother he was so close to. His young children will
miss their devoted father. It makes us all aware of how
short our time on this earthly plane is and death comes
to the young as well as the elderly. Kenny was
in service and your uncle was at work when a fatal heart
attack took his life so quickly. I wonder if you knew
they were coming before it happened. We know
how they died and I think the not knowing is why this
aching pain stays in my heart. I want to know what
happened to you. I want to share, no matter how
horrible, your last day on earth. Some tell me it is
best not to know, but what is family for, if not to
share the pain and tribulation our loves ones suffer.
That's why the friends, mother, and followers of Christ
walked with him to the
crucifixion and watched him die. They could not stay
away, to shield their emotions from his suffering.
